ncluding a huge 24-page 12” booklet including an in-depth interview with Tomas „Samoth“ Haugen and many never seen before pictures + double-sided A2 poster will be added to every vinyl too.

The songs have been completely remastered from the original tapes by Patrick W. Engel at the Temple of Disharmony.
This release features the three recordings that Thou Shalt Suffer released during their short lifespan.
It also features a thick booklet with old pictures, many of which are unpublished, as well as a lengthy interview with Samoth. For this release, the band has opened their vault and, for the very first time ever, has exclusively featured obscure material from before THOU SHALT SUFFER. This includes XERASIA's rare 1990 rehearsal tracks, EMBRYONIC's rehearsal tracks and the official 1990 EMBRYONIC demo, 'The Land of the Lost Souls'.
Founded by Samoth and Ihsahn in 1991, Emperor became widely acclaimed for their innovation and sophistication. They undoubtedly rank among the most seminal bands in the history of black metal. Throughout their exceptional career, they released landmark albums that will forever be part of the genre's canon. Given Emperor's status and popularity, it may come as a surprise to some that this legendary band was a side project of the Norwegian duo. This is particularly notable given that, when EMPEROR was established, Samoth and Ihsahn’s primary band was Thou Shalt Suffer.
Despite the members being very young when the recordings were made, the tracks are proficiently composed and performed with skill. There are frequent shifts between doomy, mid-tempo and fast sections, accompanied by Ihsahn’s morbid growls, which bear no resemblance to the high shrieks for which he would later become known. The addition of some obscure keyboards adds a sombre layer to the compositions, turning their music into a feast for devotees of dark metal.
